    Default Losi Mini Crawler

Not sure if I posted this in the correct area...

The 1/18th scale losi mini crawler - any good? Im looking at getting a used one with the following:

The losi mrc has 1.9 out croppers (rc4wd) and hpi stock car rims. A hi tec digital hi torque mini servo. Losi aluminum spindles and carriers (not installed, still in bags) metal lockers (in bags), and wheel bearings (in bags).

    for $120.

This rig will be for the g/f. I got an ax10. But i will till use it as a backup and whatnot.

What do you guys think? Buy it or pass on it?? Need to know asap. THANKS

I just went aead and bought it. Got it for $110 and its pretty sweet! It came with a proline bug boddy painted a metallic orange. Its perfect becuase my g/f's favrite color is orange. I've spent the past hour cleaning it up because it definately was inneed of some TLC. will get some pics on here soon.

Anyone know some good mods for this rig?

From your post, it seems like you have most of the metal goodies to make it stronger. Maybe a set of beadlock rims (Darksoul has an awesome deal right now) and a set of fresh rubber to mount.

After I got it yesterday I took it home and cleaed it really good because it was filthy! I think I got some simple green in the electronics because for the rest of the night it would not work. It was as if it wasnt not making a connection with my radio (yes I tried to re-bind). Thankfully this morning I gave it a try and it worked first try. I guess it all dried up overnight.

Already installed the Losi aluminum hopups that came with it and I ordered a ton more parts, Alum bent links, Alum/Steel HD center drive shaft, Alum Lockout Rear Hubs, Alum Wide Hex's, Alum steering are etc. Now I just need to find a Gatekeeper CG-3 Chassis and some good wheel weights and I'll be set!

Darksoul is a company on RCC that makes crawler stuff. You can see their products a RPPhobby.com but their sale directly through them is killer!
